Dorthe Mailil - founder and designer

Responsible for the nice Danish children's toy is Dorthe Mailil, who also gave her company half of its name. The Danish word for "Leg" is attached to Mailil's "Mai." After the sympathetic founder laid the foundation stone for the detailed toys rabbits, mice, lions and other plush companions in 1996 with her education at a well-known Danish design school, the graphic design graduate was drawn to the L'ecole D'art de Marseilles in Paris, where everything took shape with a cult clay figure that a whole class of design students was enthusiastic about. Encouraged by this experience, the family of enchanting playmates grew, and clay quickly became plush. Dorthe founded Maileg in Herning, Denmark, and created a whole world of nostalgic, fairytale figures full of charm and magic.
